Presentation
During her annual physical, an 8-year-old girl asked her pediatrician about the distinct lines on her skin that ran vertically down both her arms from her shoulder to near her wrist. On one side of the “line” her skin was a shade darker than the other. She had similar vertical lines running down both legs from approximately her thigh to her ankle. She knew they weren’t anything to worry about, but she wondered if she would always have the lines and if they had a name.
